Oh, I´ve just heard Moonboy for the first time..It´s great!!!But it had been much more better if there were no female singing..

I agree. I prefer Marian singing alone. If he had sung it alone it would have been my favourite of the 3 first songs from DS9. But it´s still "Moongirl".
The woman sings beautiful,but Marian is fully capabel of doing a much better work without her...As you said poul, it would have been my favourite too if she hadn´t sing in the song, but it´s Scum of the earth which is best then.

but..but...sputtering...you can't say that! ok i guess you can. but that woman is none other than Gabi Becker, the mother of Marian's child! so, as a fellow mother (that sounds wierd:fellow...mother...) I must come to her defense. I love the female voices. I wish there were more of them in AV's music.

About the DS9.
I think none of them is a smash-hit who
will set me for listening in hours...
the song; scum of the earth is very dark.
I be afraid of the lyrics... maybe he's singing to me (i hope not)...

I'm not positively sure about Gabi singing there. I mean, listen to songs like 'Legend' and 'Like Thunder', the female vocals there (Gabi) are completely different from the ones we hear from the girl who sings in 'Moonboy'.
Just my green opinion,

hello. well I'm just passing on what I heard in the chat room here. I believe it was Tobi who said it was Gabi. Maybe it was Willy. In either case, I'm willing to bet WIlly can let us know who sang on Moonboy.

It is Gabi Becker singing on Moonboy (100% sure)
If you have Winamp you can easily check it out for your self, just open Winamp menu and click "view file info" and read......

I think the female singing is good. It really adds something to the music! Why do all songs have to sound the same???
I agree with Jonatan, the songs are very different but great. Why do Alphaville have to keep the same style? Gabi´s voice is sweet and matches Marian very well. I hope to hear some more from her, and I can´t wait to hear some more songs from MoonBase.

But come on!!Alphaville is perfect without any female vocals.Gabo or not.I don´t even care if it was Whitney Houston who sang.

I believe MoonBoy sounds a lot like AV even though Gabi is singing with Marian. I can´t see anything wrong with that !

There is nothing wrong with Gabi singing in this song, but I what I meant was that AV sound much better without any female singers.

well it's not like Gabi never sang with Alphaville before. I think the female voice is rather a distinctive part of AV's earlier albums. I think Gabi should make a record and have Marian be a guest singer. Then we can argue "Marian or no Marian??" <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>
