A friend of mine said that Afternoons in Utopia sounds like some Enya song...
I can agree with him,
especially the synth, drums... echoing sound.
What do you think?
Do you think that AV and Enya have inspirated eachothers?

But hardin darling...Where did you get that from? Personally I think that AV and Enya has nothing in common...But that´s only what I think..AIU has a very speciel sound, supernatural...

I doesn't say that AV and Enya was playing the same music...
but the drums echo sounds like Enya.
I think it's naive to think that Marian & Co do NOT influence of any other musicians but their own.

All artists take impressions from others,
even if they not personal confess that.

But AV has made it in their own sound on a very impressive way.

As you said AIU is quite unique... supernatural (i like that word).

i'll be waiting for my chance tonight,

I do think that AV influence by other artists, maybe even from Enya..I haven´t heard so much by her (them?) so I don´t have any oppinion. And supernatural is the perfect word to describe AIU...

I don´t think that AV and Enya can be compared. For me Alphaville are the best and I don´t like Enya. I think the music is so boring. All the songs sounds the same.

So I don´t like it when people compare them.

AIU is a great album. Much better than anything Enya has made!

I mean the song AIU.
I agree with AIU album is better than any Enya album... but I still like her songs.
I think she made mighty songs.
The best song "Only If"... sound simular for me.

OK the song "AIU" can be compared with Enya in the instrumental version from DS. But it´s absolutely the only song/version by AV that you can even consider comparing to Enya.

And "AIU - instrumental" is also better than any Enya song!!
