Anyone wants to write a new description for www.alphaville.org ? The current one says:

official scandinavian fanclub website for the german band alphaville, known for their big international hits in the 80īs: forever young & big in japan - the band is still active with releases throughout the 80īs and 90īs.

It seems a little outdated and havenīt been changed for years. Please write your text here, and weīll decide together which one to use.

Official Scandinavian fanclub website for the German band Alphaville, also includes a large forum with more than 800 members.
Alphaville were known in the 80's for several big hits (such as Big in Japan & Forever young) and through this site you can also learn about their releases from the past 20 years.
The site also includes photos from parties and concerts, photos of the band and from video clips and many more interesting surprises...

@wii: If you want to cut that down a bit you can remove "internationally renowned"

Kaz

I considered that too Poul but thought about letting people know that Alphaville is not just a European phenomenon.

Yeah, so something like this:

official scandinavian fanclub website, forum and chat for fans of the german band alphaville (big in japan, forever young) - up to date info of their work from early 80s to the present.

Kaz

OK by me if you think it's descriptive enough.

wii
22 Feb 2004, 19:44
How would re-write that then Kaz ?

Kaz
22 Feb 2004, 19:47
I would have left it as it was but I think Poul's right. Would just be nice to acknowledge Alphaville as an internationally famous band was all I thought. Depends how short you want it to be.

A few more words added to this would be ok:

official scandinavian fanclub website, forum and chat for fans of the german band alphaville (big in japan, forever young) - up to date info of their work from early 80s to the present.

Maybe take a few of Adi's words to whet people's appetites?

wii

Ok, how about this?

official scandinavian fanclub website, forum and chat for fans of the german band alphaville (big in japan, forever young) - the site includes reviews, video galleries, exclusive downloads, and info about alphaville's releases from the past 20 years to the present.

@wii: take a look on this at the link-section, think you have to change it to [wink]

(www.krapplund.com) A Victory of Love - private alphaville website by Peter Krappinger. He claims that itīs the largest swedish AV site - I believe him - quite impressive.

Glad you finally got the firewall to work correctly, because I havenīt changed anything, is the speed ok? I know the forum loads a bit faster though.

MalilaM

[laugh] I didn't do anything either (only upgraded the firewall)

the main page loads very fast (almost immediately)... the forum takes its time [smile2]

wii

Only upgraded ? Then you did something !

Strange, all connections I have tested on shows a quicker forum than mainpage. Oh well...

MalilaM

In that case, Norton did something [smile2]

the forum is usually kind of slow to me, but I think it's also a firewall issue *sigh* (I don't care as long as I can use it anyway) [smile]
