The swedish band Melody Club have two good songs (I have just heard two songs from them [smile]).

- Palace Station
- I´m Electric

They comes from the town Växjö, 60 km from where I live. Anyway for some minutes ago I was looking at TV and the new video with them and there it was told that they have been inspirated by; New Order, Alphaville, Blondie och Ramones.

Some day ago I was sending a mail to them and asked if they was thinking of making a Alphaville-cover.

And got the answer some day ago.

They like Alphaville alot and like there music mutch.
But making a Alphaville-cover they have´t been thinking of....but how knows....MAYBE!!! [smile]

My favourite song with this band must be My soft return.
Anyone heard this track? it´s wonderful, very sweet synthmelody through the whole song, the melody itself is terrific.

Today Melody Club played the song Covergirl live at the swedish program Söndagsöppet and after that they was intervju.

They have a list (don´t know the name) like all other artists with stuff they want to have backstage.

Some of the stuff they want:

Vodka
24 redbull
bananas
5 triss-lot
OKEJ-magasines between 1980-85

and more stuff i don´t remeber right now [smile]

Think it´s fun that they want numbers between 1980-85, so they can read about Alphaville 1984 [smile]

20 min ago on the SVT program Studio Pop the singer Kristofer from the band said that the best love-song all time are Forever Young and they played the song 20-30 seconds....[smile]

By the way....

At the Rasslebygdfestival that was in Emmaboda 7-9 Aug this year Melody Club played and they sleeped at the local hotel Amigo here in Emmaboda.

And me and a friend was on our way to the gig with Melody Club at 6 pm and we was drunk since 10-11 am...like i´m always these days...[wink] Okey...we was walking and on our way the hotel Amigo was.....outside the hotel I see the singer Kristofer with 2 girls....fans [smile]
Oki anyway....I just walk to Kristofer and shakes his hand and says ALPHAVILLE RULES!!!!! [laugh][laugh]
Than I just walk away....and he says "Yes, You right!!" and smiling....after that he says "See you at the gig" and I said "Yes!"
Later at the gig I standing in front of him and screaming like a crazy and drinking beer [laugh][laugh][beer][party][wink]

Just came home. They played here in Stockholm this evening. I was really surprised to recognise that many songs, but probbly they played mostly oled ones. I heard them, but watched them only with one eye - had my other eye on the football game between Sweden and Iceland. Heja Sverige!
