Hmm intriguing...I wonder if they know they're violating copyright laws cause as far as I know, I don't think that's an offical Alphaville release...and I wonder what possessed them to put Schierbaum H. next to "Inside Out", "Wishful Thinking" and "Flame" I wasn't aware that Marian ever used to his real name with anything associated with Alphaville...dumbarses...What gimps!!!!

maybe Alien bought it as a proof to show that this illegal best of really exists...so we know for sure that we should avoid it if we see it in the stores...
i have to admit that putting Marians real name after those songs is really thoughtless. its so abvious that they certanly do not have any rights reserved for this stuff, cause Marian would never agree on having his real name after a song he has written.. i hope the ones who did it will pay!

@Micki: Just because it is not likely to catch a thief doesn't mean that cops should lie down in the street.
Sure, probability is out there that these guys won't be caught, or even punished in judicial way, but letting Alphaville know might make it more public about this twerp and people can boycot the cd and the guy will lose his profit...
Also, YOU might not spend your last penny's on it because you KNOW it's a phony since you are better informed...Some people may not be so lucky and buy this...That's how thieves operate...they sell to the uninformed
Unfortunately Russia is a slew of bootlegs though and it's a real pain in the arse to go and make them stop...but informing people might make them stop buying the cd and try to find the official cd itself and buy that instead

@Alien:do they sell First Harvest in russia btw??cause for me it seems as this tape is a subsitute for first harvest because the 14 first songs are in the exact order and are the same as the ones on FH..

about pirate stuff: most of CDs I have are pirate ones... and I'm not gonna fight against pirates just because if they didn't exist I would never have a chance to buy CDs... "try to find the official cd itself and buy that instead" haha... do you know how many times it's more expensive? I'm sorry... but when russian wages equal european or american ones then people will buy official stuff. now most of us can't afford them... some CDs cost more than people earn per month. I save for months before I can buy new CD... and I thank pirates for their job... I hope you'll understand my point.
I just bought it because I wanted to know what they put on this tape... I was interested.

@Trent: Did I say they should lie down? No! =) it's good if they catch them, but it's really unlikely....and, even if I think it's wrong towards AV to sell that kind of stuff, I still in some sense understand the thing; I don't know what the hell I'd do if I for example couldn't buy food, so it's very possible that I could do something like that...and just like Alien said, it's much cheaper for them who buy it...

Hi I am very late in this topic, But I have not been able to be here much lately. I think this is an interesting topic. So here is my opinion in it. Bootlegs, hmm I have some of them from a few artists witch I collect. But those countains songs never released. Those who are pirate copies of regular cds available in the store. Hmm I guess people in Russia, and a few other contries, like in the middle east have a huge number of this. And it is their only way of getting the cds they want, It is the same way as we do when we get mp3's. We listen to the mp3s until we can afford to have the original CD. Also I have some cassettes made in Kuwait, they are not originals. I think the peroblem with all this will continue untill people can afford to buy the CDs'
When it comes to my way of collecting, I do buy bootlegs only when things apear only on that bootleg in particiluar. I don't see a point in why I should pay money for a bootleg, Where the original is available for a responsible price. I can understand people in Russia though.
PS I do not have any Alphaville bootlegs....I have money ready for DS#9 :-) I can't wait for that CD.
